Crowley's History

Pioneers began farming in the Deer Creek area around 1848, although a more permanent settlement was established when the Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe Railroad laid tracks through the area. The town was then named after the railroad master of transportation, S. H. Crowley. In 1951, the city was incorporated.
